With Ruby at Union Yoga + Wellness, 956 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON.
Dates and Time:
6 week series (in person)
Tuesdays 1-3 pm
July 4 - August 15 (no class August 1)
Join this course for an accessible introduction to Mindfulness Meditation based on the Buddha's teaching of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. Learn meditation techniques to support the development of a home meditation practice, and helpful strategies for integrating mindfulness into everyday life, including how to work with stress and difficult emotions.
Ruby will debunk common myths about meditation (you don't have to empty your mind!), explore different postures for meditation (sitting, standing, lying down, walking), and offer an introduction to heart practices that help develop resilience. Additional resources, suggested reading, and meditation recordings will be provided.
Cost: This series is offered at sliding scale. Please pay what you are able. Paying more supports Union's efforts to recover from Covid losses, and allows us to provide reduced rates* to folks with lower income.
Regular Rate $180 + HST
Low Income Rate $80 + HST
*For folks with low income, there are spots available at the reduced rate of $80 + HST. No questions asked, and these are available on a first come first served basis.
